Job Description

Our busy and fun Tauranga clinic is looking for a dedicated Social Worker who will work with our team of allied health staff to provide support and evidence-based care to our clients. The ideal candidate will be approachable and warm, aiding clients with challenges that impact their social determinants of health. You will be working on the Sensitive Claims contract so it is important that you are friendly and measured in your approach with our community of clients.  

This is a permanent full-time role with many growth opportunities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in addressing the needs identified in planning reports 
  • Ensure successful rehabilitation outcomes - addressing emergency needs
  • Provide brief social work intervention when needed e.g. counselling when needed
  • Ensure clients and their whānau are kept well informed of our support services and resources

The ideal candidate: 

  • Degree in social work or equivalent
  • Annual Practicing certificate as registered Social Worker.
  • Membership of SWRB and ANZASW
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Mental health and ACC experience is highly desirable
