We’re growing and are looking for an early-career Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Central Wellington. This role is perfect for someone who has up to a year's worth of experience as an Occupational Therapist but is keen to grow and develop further. We will also consider recent graduates for this position.
About the role...
In this role, you’ll manage a varied clinical caseload and deliver high-quality, best-practice occupational therapy services across community, workplace, and clinic settings. You’ll work autonomously while being well supported by an experienced, collaborative team. You’ll assess clients, develop meaningful rehabilitation plans, and work closely with funders, whānau, and other health professionals to achieve great outcomes.
A day in the life...
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ functional needs, goals, and barriers to participation
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment plans
- Support clients to regain independence in daily activities, work, and community participation
- Provide education and practical strategies to clients, families, and carers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, holistic care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service improvement initiatives
- Utilise "Heidi", our automated note-taking software, to produce high-quality clinical documents and reports
The successful candidate will have...
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
- Current APC and registration in New Zealand
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- A client-centred, solutions-focused mindset
- Full NZ driver's licence
