Pacific Health Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our innovative team in Auckland. This newly created position offers the opportunity to shape how we use data to support our purpose: helping people in our communities live healthier, stronger, and more connected lives.

Job Description

About Pacific Health Group
We provide integrated health services across New Zealand, supporting people on mental and physical health journeys. From restoring function and managing pain to fostering independence and social connections, we help our clients return to living their best life.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who loves turning data into meaningful insight — and just as importantly, enjoys building strong relationships along the way.

In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our people and our data. You’ll take the time to ask thoughtful questions, understand what our teams truly need, and translate business requirements into smart, practical solutions. Your work will help guide decisions across Rehab, EAP, Support Functions and Commercial teams — making a genuine difference to how we support our clients.

Power BI expertise is essential, but so is your ability to communicate clearly, collaborate confidently, and bring others on the journey with you.

A Day in the Life

  • Take time to deeply understand business challenges and opportunities
  • Design and build clear, engaging, and scalable Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Partner with our external data warehouse team to continuously improve reporting processes
  • Lead testing, deployment, and user training for new and enhanced reports
  • Champion data literacy and help build confidence in using insights across the organisation

The successful candidate will have

  • Proven experience building Power BI reports and datasets
  • Strong DAX skills and solid data modelling knowledge
  • The ability to ask the right questions and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build internal relationships
  • Knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing and ETL concept
  • Familiarity with finance and operational metrics

Nice to have:

  • Experience in healthcare or service delivery environments
  • Experience working with external data warehouse vendors

What's in it for you?

  • Professional development support, including an annual professional development budget and paid study days
  • Volunteer leave to support a charity or cause that matters to you
  • Wellbeing initiatives, including annual eye exams, discounts on glasses, annual flu vaccination, and access to EAP services
  • Corporate discounts across a wide range of services and products
  • Great team culture with regular social events, weekly treats, award schemes

If you think you have the experience and can-do attitude to make it even bigger with an organisation that rewards your worth, we want to hear from you!
