We’re looking for a passionate clinician to join our supportive and high-performing team, with flexibility to be based in Wellington CBD, Lower Hutt or Kapiti.

The role:

As a Hand Therapist, you’ll manage your own clinical caseload while being part of a collaborative, experienced team. You’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment and treatment for a wide range of upper limb conditions, supporting clients to return to full participation in daily life. This opportunity will suit a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist wanting to transition into Hand Therapy, or a Registered / Associate Hand Therapist seeking a new clinic environment with flexibility and growth opportunities.

You’ll enjoy clinical independence, strong peer support, and the opportunity to continue developing your specialist skills.

Main responsibilities:  

  • Completing comprehensive upper limb assessments
  • Developing and adapting treatment plans as conditions progress
  • Communicating clearly with patients, referrers and funders (including ACC)
  • Managing an efficient and well-organised caseload
  • Contributing to clinical in-services and ongoing professional development
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

The ideal candidate:

  • Degree / qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Current APC / Member/Registration of Hand Therapy NZ, PBNZ or OTNZ
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – you will be meeting lots of great people!
  • Open to candidates of all skill levels who wish to specialise in Hand Therapy / candidates who are already qualified and can supervise and mentor Associates
