Rehab Support Subcontract Opportunity for OT Students
We are looking for Occupational Therapy students to work as Rehab support workers on our Living My Life community rehabilitation contract. This is a hands-on, OT-focused role supporting clients to build independence in everyday life. Flexible hours to fit around university timetables
What You’ll Do:
You’ll support clients in the community with rehabilitation goals set by a Registered OT or PT.No key working responsibility – your focus is delivering rehab and sharing updates with the keyworker. Support may include:
- Supported Living – daily living skills, routines, independence at home
- Supported Activities – community participation and group programmes
- Supported Employment – vocational and work-readiness support
- Supported Transitions – school-to-work, moving to independent living, major life changes
Who Should Apply
- OT students (ideally 3rd year, 2nd year considered with relevant experience)
- ~2 years’ equivalent experience in disability or brain injury support (can be alongside study)
- Strong communication skills and confidence working in the community
- Passion for rehabilitation, disability, and client independence
