We're looking for an experienced, energetic and personable Physiotherapist to join our Palmerston North team in a Lead Physiotherapist role. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on clinical practice with leadership. You'll manage your own varied caseload while dedicating time to mentoring and clinically supervising a small group of physiotherapists, helping them grow their confidence, capability and clinical excellence.
We're seeking someone with strong experience across musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management and persistent pain. Experience delivering and coordinating end-to-end pain and/or concussion rehabilitation services will be highly regarded.
The Role
As Lead Physiotherapist, you will:
- Partner with Clinical and Service Leads to deliver consistently high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Manage a diverse clinical caseload, including musculoskeletal, vestibular, concussion and persistent pain presentations.
- Support the delivery and ongoing development of pain and concussion rehabilitation services.
- Drive best practice and continuous improvement through clinical leadership, innovation and client feedback.
- Provide structured clinical supervision, coaching and mentorship to junior physiotherapists.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture where learning and professional development are prioritised.
- Work autonomously while contributing to wider service and regional objectives.
- You'll play a pivotal role in shaping clinical excellence while ensuring exceptional outcomes for every client who walks through our doors.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Current NZ Physiotherapy registration with a valid APC
- Ideally five or more years' clinical physiotherapy experience.
- Demonstrated experience in musculoskeletal vestibular, concussion and persistent pain rehabilitation.
- Experience delivering and coordinating end-to-end pain and/or concussion rehabilitation services is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for leading, mentoring and supporting other physiotherapists to develop their clinical skills and confidence.
- Confidence managing a varied and complex caseload while maintaining excellent clinical standards.
- A full New Zealand Driver Licence for community rehabilitation work.
- Outstanding communication skills and a warm, engaging and collaborative approach.
