Job Description

Habit Health is looking for a passionate, organised, and motivated Group Fitness Coordinator to join our growing team on a part-time capacity. If you enjoy creating well-run group fitness programmes, supporting a team, and delivering exceptional member experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

The Group Fitness Coordinator will oversee Group Fitness classes across our Wellington sites, supporting instructors, managing rosters and timetables, and ensuring our programme is delivered to a high standard.

As a Group Fitness Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate Group Fitness rosters, staff availability, and class coverage
  • Organise class timetables to maximise participation
  • Lead and support Group Fitness instructors to follow Habit Health policies and procedures
  • Ensure daily operating procedures, records, and administration are completed to standard
  • Manage the GYMMASTER and website timetables, keeping information accurate and up to date
  • Provide general administration support to the club as needed

Customer Service

  • Proactively engage with customers, providing information, assistance, and encouragement
  • Handle customer concerns with a genuine desire to exceed expectations
  • Keep up to date with new products and services
  • Communicate confidently with customers and colleagues, and ask for clarification when needed

Facility Presentation & Health and Safety

  • Ensure studios meet Habit Health standards for presentation, cleaning, and maintenance
  • Report faults and address health and safety issues promptly
  • Maintain studio microphones and sound systems
  • Ensure club policies, codes, and systems are followed

  • A passion for health, fitness, and customer service
  • Confidence supporting and guiding a team
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A commitment to Habit Health values, policies, and procedures
