Clinical Lead – MSD

We’re looking for a Clinical Lead – MSD (Auckland based) to provide service leadership and support across our teams working with the Ministry of Social Development.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can combine strong clinical expertise with confident leadership, stakeholder engagement and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for clients. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to influence clinical quality, strengthen stakeholder relationships and contribute to the continued development of our MSD services.

About the role

As Clinical Lead, you’ll provide clinical guidance and leadership to our teams working within the MSD environment. You’ll support Vocational and Employment Consultants to deliver high-quality, consistent and client-focused services while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll play an important role in strengthening clinical practice, supporting our people abuilding strong partnerships with MSD and other key stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:

• Work with the Service Lead to review and strengthen clinical capability, capacity and service delivery across MSD services.
• Support clinicians to deliver consistent, high-quality and client-focused outcomes, helping MSD clients become work-ready and/or move towards sustainable employment.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance and mentoring to Vocational and Employment Consultants including support with complex clinical cases and decision-making.
• Support clinicians to deliver consistent, high-quality and client-focused outcomes in line with MSD requirements.
• Review and provide guidance on complex clinical reports, ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Support clinical quality, risk management and continuous improvement across MSD services.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with MSD, internal teams, customers and other key stakeholders.
• Support the wider clinical team with practical guidance and solutions, helping to drive positive outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience working within MSD services
• Proven clinical leadership experience, with the ability to coach, support and develop clinicians
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Confidence communicating and influencing across clinical, operational and external stakeholder groups
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation, return-to-work and/or vocational health services
• A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
• Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills
• Relevant professional registration and current NZ APC
• Confidence reviewing reports, supporting clinical decision-making and providing practical advice to customers.
• Five plus years’ experience in a clinical role, with leadership or mentoring experience being advantageous.
